Since I recently had an unexpected 4 day weekend I was excited to do something fun. So I asked my friend Lisa if she was available, but warned her that I wanted to do something super touristy! So we decided that we would go to Sea World and possibly the San Diego Zoo. If you remember some of my earliest posts the first time I went to San Diego it was rainy and cold. I was excited when I found out that this particular weekend was going to be warm and sunny!
My plan was to get there early on Friday in hopes that we would be able to go to the zoo, but I had worked until midnight the night before and had trouble sleeping. Needless to say, I got a late start and didn't arrive in San Diego until 1 p.m. So Lisa and I decided just to take it easy that day. She drove me around and showed me some of the same sights she had shown me the first time I went down there, but this time it was nice and sunny! We decided to stop in Ocean Beach for lunch, a little shopping and a walk on the pier. The weather was beautiful!!
The pier at OB is one of the longer piers I've seen. It offered some great views of OB and there were a lot of people out surfing the waves.
The end of the pier had a little cafe that honestly looked pretty run down. But we made the most of it and just had fun snapping pictures!
We finished up our time in OB with a little shopping and a happy hour frappucinno from Starbucks. After driving around a little more our night ended with dinner and drinks at a restaurant called Firehouse and then headed home to rest up and plan our trip to Sea World!
I'm surprised I could sleep with all the excitement.....
